  Mr. Rivington will much oblige many of his military
friends, by inserting a chanson written by a gentleman of
the Xth regiment, who on their arrival at Quebec, being
asked in company for a song, gave them the following, which
unknown to the corps, he had composed while on the passage;
it is an old affair, but we wish it may be preserved from
oblivion.
A SONG.------THE XTH REGIMENT'S VOYAGE TO QUEBEC.
    I.
The third day of June in the year sixty seven,
  The Xth, in three transports sail'd out of Corkhaven;
All jovial and hearty like sold'ers so valiant,
  And Commodore Hale was quite top and top-gallant.
